Description

The gateway, gates, wall, and attached lodge to Wroxton College serve as the entrance to the college. Built in 1771, the structure underwent restoration in the 20th century. It features four piers made of rusticated ironstone, each topped with cornices and stone caps. The wall is constructed from ironstone ashlar and includes two pedestrian gateways with iron gates, as well as a central gateway with an iron gate. The lodge, designed in the 17th century style but built in the 19th century, is also made of ironstone ashlar and has a stone slate roof with a stone ridge stack. The lodge includes mullioned windows with hood moulds, and the gables are stone coped with finials.
