Description
Mullions is a house with origins dating back to the 17th century, featuring restorations from the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone that is finely jointed and resembles ashlar on the front elevation, while the right gable is made of coursed ironstone rubble. There is a single-storey section on the left made of regular coursed ironstone rubble. The house has a steeply pitched thatched roof and brick stacks at the ends.
The layout consists of a two-unit plan with a single-storey extension on the left, and the building stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The central entrance, which is original but now blocked, has a four-centred arched head with moulded jambs and an inserted 20th-century window. This entrance is flanked by two 20th-century three-light windows that feature hood moulds and label stops, with two similar windows on the first floor. The single-storey extension on the left has a 20th-century entrance with a wooden lintel, and some windows include reused wrought-iron casement fasteners.
