Description

Two houses, Woodview and Rose Cottage, date from the early to mid 17th century and were altered in the 20th century. They are constructed of coursed squared ironstone. Woodview has a 20th-century tile roof, while Rose Cottage has a thatched roof. There are renewed brick ridge and end stacks. The houses have a 4-unit plan overall, with 2 units each. They have two storeys and a 4-window range.

Woodview, on the left, features a gabled, 2-storey, 20th-century porch extension and 20th-century windows to both the ground and first floors. The interior of Woodview is said to have inglenook fireplaces and beams. A wall abutting Sundial Farmhouse on the left has a blocked window on the interior, suggesting a previous exterior wall. Rose Cottage has a plank door with a moulded wood frame, strap hinges, and a wood lintel. A 20th-century bow window is on the right, also with a wood lintel, and the first floor has two 20th-century windows. The interior of Rose Cottage also contains an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
