Description
The building is a former stable that now serves as a lecture hall, dining room, bar, and kitchen, located approximately 15 meters south of Wroxton College. It dates from the late 17th century and underwent restoration and conversion in 1974-1975. The structure is built of ironstone ashlar and features a hipped roof covered with 20th-century tiles. It has a U-shaped plan and is symmetrical, with a central block that has a pediment and projecting wings. The building is two storeys high and has a facade with a 1:10:1 bay arrangement. There are six entrances with renewed doors and square doorheads, and three oculi positioned above the doors. The windows include two-light stone mullioned and transomed designs, with additional two-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor. A flat band runs along the first floor, and there is a moulded stone eaves cornice, as well as a stone plinth and quoins. The interior has not been inspected.
