Description

The Andrews is a mid-18th century building that originally consisted of three cottages but has been converted into one house. It features regular coursed ironstone rubble construction. The left cottage has a thatched roof with a stone end stack, while the middle cottage has a modern tile roof. The right cottage also has a modern tile roof and a renewed stone end stack. Each section is designed as a single-unit plan, two storeys high, with a single-window range. The entrance is located in a central modern porch. The front elevation has modern windows and doors throughout, all with painted wood lintels. Inside the left cottage, there is an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer. The building is marked as Abbey Cottage on the Ordnance Survey map and is included for its group value.
