Description

This is a late 17th and early 18th century house, altered in the 20th century. The house is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble and has a steeply pitched thatched roof. A renewed brick chimney stack sits atop a stone base. The building is situated with its gable end facing the road. It follows a three-unit plan, arranged over two storeys plus an attic. The front elevation contains two 20th-century casement windows and a painted wood mullioned window in a small projecting section. Further 20th-century windows are found on the first floor and in the attic. The right-hand side elevation features a 20th-century porch. The main entrance has a plank door within a moulded wooden frame. The rear elevation has 20th-century attic windows. The interior is said to include beams and stone fireplaces, though it was not inspected.
