Description
This is a house, likely dating from the 17th or 18th century, located on the east side of Church Street in Bodicot. It is built of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof, and features three brick stacks along the ridge and at the ends of the building. The house has a three-unit plan and consists of a single storey plus an attic.
The front of the building has a three-window arrangement. The doors and windows are 20th century replacements, with the exception of the original lintel above the door on the left side and two 20th-century windows on the right. Three two-light casement windows are located in the attic. Attached to the right of Holly Tree Cottage is number 18, also constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof and a brick stack on its right-hand side. Number 18 has a 20th-century door with a continuous lintel on the left, alongside a 20th-century window to the right, and a 20th-century window in the attic.
The interior of the house has not been inspected.
