Description

A house, likely dating from the 17th century, is located on the east side of Church Street in Bodicot. The house is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a steeply pitched 20th-century tile roof and three brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. It has a three-unit plan, consisting of a single storey with an attic. Originally, it had a three-window front. The windows and doors are 20th-century replacements, with a door to the left and a continuous lintel above it, along with a window to its left. Two windows to the right retain their original lintels. Three attic windows have wooden lintels. Inside, the house features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, a chamfered bressumer above the fireplace, chamfered joists, and a recess that formerly held a bread oven.
