Description
Cumberford Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a 20th-century tile roof. The building has two brick stacks on the left and one stone stack at the ridge. It has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a four-window range. There is a gable-fronted bay to the right. The entrance on the left consists of a six-panelled door with two glazed panels, set within a doorway that has chamfered jambs. To the left of the door is a 20th-century casement window, while to the right are a four-light and a three-light casement window, both under wooden lintels. The attic features sash windows as well as three-light and four-light casements, with the latter also having wooden lintels. The gabled bay to the right includes a single attic casement with a wooden lintel. The interior has not been examined.
