Description

Home Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 18th century or earlier. The building features regular coursed ironstone rubble on the rear and sides, with finely jointed ironstone on the front elevation. It has a steeply pitched 20th-century tile roof and three brick stacks on stone bases located at the ridge and left end. The house has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a three-window range. There is a carriageway entrance to the left, and the central door is flanked by two 20th-century casement windows. The attic also has three 20th-century casement windows. Inside, there is a chamfered bressumer above the inglenook fireplace and chamfered beams.
