Description
Greyroofs is a 17th-century farmhouse, later altered and now used as a house. It is constructed from regular coursed ironstone rubble, with a 20th-century tile roof and brick ridge stacks, one to the left and another to a right-hand extension. The building has a four-unit plan and is single-storey with an attic, featuring a four-window front. A 20th-century door, with a gabled hood, is positioned off-centre to the right. To the left of the entrance are two 3-light metal casement windows with wooden lintels. Two further 3-light metal casement windows are on the right. The attic has two 3-light stone mullioned windows, each with a hood mould and label stops. Some of the windows retain crown glass. Stone coping defines the left gable. A garage extension to the right includes a large wooden lintel above 20th-century garage doors, and a casement window above it, with a wooden lintel and a brick stack to the left of the garage. The interior was not inspected.
