Description

Wallflowers is a house dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks to the left and along the ridge. The house has a three-unit plan, a single storey plus an attic, and a four-window front. A 20th-century door is centrally positioned, flanked by two casement windows to the right and a canted bay window to the left. Four 2- and 3-light casement windows are located in the attic. The interior features chamfered beams and joists, a chamfered bressumer to the inglenook fireplace, small triangular-headed niches for rush lamps, and a stone flag floor. A cellar is also present. One upstairs bedroom retains chamfered joists and a bean.
