Description

The Old Cottage and the house to its left are likely from the 18th century. They are built of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a tile roof and have two brick ridge stacks on rendered stone bases. The building has a four-unit layout and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a six-window arrangement. There are two entrances, and the doorway to the left has a bay window with a hipped tile roof to its right. All other ground-floor windows are 3-light casements with wooden lintels. Six 2- and 3-light casements, also with wooden lintels, are found in the attic. The attic casements are fitted with wrought iron catches and springs. The interior has not been inspected.
