Description
The Web and The Cottage are two houses, likely dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. They are constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and feature a 20th-century tiled roof.
The Web is a single-unit, single storey with an attic. It has a plank door on the right with a moulded wood surround, and to the left, there is a 20th-century casement window with a stop-chamfered lintel. In the attic, there are two 20th-century casement windows with wooden lintels. The roof has a steep pitch, and there is a substantial stone stack at the ridge with brick flues.
The Cottage has a central entrance with a 20th-century plank door beneath a gabled hood porch. This entrance is flanked by 20th-century casement windows with wooden lintels. There are also two 20th-century windows with wooden lintels in the attic. The roof is steeply pitched, and there is a brick ridge stack to the right. The interiors have not been inspected. The buildings are included for their group value.
