Description
Hall Cottage, formerly known as The Cottage, is a late 18th-century building that was converted from two houses into one in the 20th century. It features coursed ironstone and brick construction with a pantiled roof, and the entrance is located on the west side. The cottage is two storeys high and has three window bays. There are two doorways on the ground floor; the right doorway, which is behind a 20th-century brick gabled porch, and the left doorway, which is made of planks. Each floor has three 3-light casement windows that have been repaired but still retain their 18th-century character, complete with glazing bars and timber lintels. The roof is gabled with a bell base, and there is an internal gable-end stack at the south end and a ridge stack to the left of centre. The east side of the cottage faces the road and features three irregularly placed 20th-century windows.
