Description
10 and 11 Denton Lane is a house that was formerly a Post Office, built in the early 19th century and altered with new windows in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone and has a pantile roof. The south front facing the street has two storeys and features three window bays. The centre and left ground floor windows consist of three and two arched Gothick lights, respectively. To the right of the elevation is a two-light casement, while the first floor has two- and three-light casements. All windows are adorned with mid-19th century brick hood moulds supported by label stops. There is a brick eaves cornice beneath the gabled roof, with internal gable-end stacks and a ridge stack located to the right of centre. The entrance is accessed through a 20th-century outshut against the west gable.
