Description
26 and 27 Denton Lane are two attached houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of coursed ironstone with some limestone dressings and feature a pantiled roof. The houses are one storey high with a dormer attic. At the front, there is a large early 19th-century outshut made of ironstone and pantiles, which is accessed through a door on the right and has a small casement window to the left of the door. The main wall, which dates from the 18th century, has three 2-light casement windows under timber lintels. The gabled roof includes two dormers: a through-eaves dormer on the left with a sloping roof and a full gabled dormer on the right. There are four brick ridge stacks that are symmetrically placed. At the rear, there are two gabled brick dormers in the roof.
