Description
19 and 20 Denton Lane are a pair of houses from the 1860s, part of the Belvoir Estate. They are built of coursed ironstone with limestone quoins and window dressings and stand two storeys tall. The central gabled cross wing projects towards the street front (north) and features two 2-light cross casements on the ground floor and two 2-light casements on the first floor, all under hood moulds with label stops. The gable head displays the Manners coat of arms. The single bays on either side of the central gable originally had one 2-light casement on the ground floor, also with a hood, but the window in the western bay has been converted into a doorway. The houses have a gabled roof and a cluster of four central octagonal brick chimney flues on a brick plinth.
