Description
The Cottage, built in the late 18th century, is a two-storey, three-bay house with a symmetrical rectangular plan. It has a single-storey store attached to the northeast and a two-storey garage to the southwest. The exterior is made of coursed whinstone rubble, featuring contrasting stone lintels.
On the southeast elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a centrally located doorway with a boarded door and a two-pane letterbox fanlight above it. A single window is positioned on the first floor directly above the door, with additional single windows in the flanking bays.
The windows are fitted with uPVC glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate and features brick stacks at the gable ends, thackstanes, and coped gables.
