Staerough View, Main Street, Kirk Yetholm

Staerough View is a late 18th century, 2-storey, 3-bay L-plan house located at the end of a short, irregular terrace on a sloping site. The building features bull-faced concrete blockwork on the Main Street side, while the side and rear are rendered.

The southeast elevation, which serves as the entrance, has an advanced timber porch at the center with a concrete riser, timber-framed glazing, and a felt roof. Above the porch, there is a single window at the first floor, with single windows on both floors in the outer left and right bays.

On the northeast elevation, there is a bipartite casement window with a timber mullion to the right and a small single window to the left. An adjoining single-storey wing is located to the outer right.

The northwest (rear) elevation features a pitch-roofed single-storey wing that is advanced to the left. This side has plate glass sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with a skylight on the northwest side, and a tall, broad rendered coped gablehead stack on the northeast.
