Description

Heatherview is a late 18th century, two-storey house with a rectangular plan. It features a crow-stepped gable on the west side and a single-storey addition on the east, with the gable altered and partially covered with concrete coping. The structure is built of coursed rubble and is limewashed at the west end.

On the south elevation, there is a near-central entrance with a plain timber door. To the left, there is a small inserted window, and an enlarged window with a cement architrave to the outer left. There are two windows to the right, along with four windows on the first floor.

The north elevation has an entrance to the left of centre with a boarded timber door. There is a window to the right and a blocked former window to the outer right. Two windows are located to the left of centre on the first floor.

The west elevation features two windows on the first floor of the gable end.

On the east elevation, the gable end of the single-storey addition projects to the left of centre, with an entrance to the left. There is a window set back to the right of the gable end of the main block, a window to the left on the first floor, and a former window to the right that is blocked.

The house has a mixture of four-light timber sash and case windows, two and four-light top-hung casements, and four and six-light fixed frame windows, with timber boards on those facing west. The roof is made of stone slate, while the single-storey addition has stone flags. There are gablehead stacks at both ends (east and west) and a ridge stack at the centre, all featuring band courses, although many cans are missing, with some round cans remaining on the gablehead stack to the east.
