Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, T-plan house. Single storey, linear outbuilding to rear. Harled flagstone.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 2 bays set back to left; window to far left; door to right; single 1st floor windows centred above. Advanced, pitched single bay to right; central bipartite ground floor window; single window centred above.

W ELEVATION: plain gable.

N ELEVATION: advanced, pitched wing to left; plain gable. Wing set back to right; window (former door) to left; narrow 1st floor window centred above.

E ELEVATION: symmetrical elevation; central, advanced chimney-breast; raking shoulders above eaves. Large flanking bipartite windows to ground floor; smaller flanking bipartite 1st floor windows.

2-pane fanlight above boarded door. 12-pane timber sash and case windows. 12-pane timber sash and case bipartite windows; lying panes; timber mullion to S. 8-pane timber sash and case bipartite windows to E elevation; timber mullions. Pitched, Orkney stone roof. Coped gable end stack to W; coped wallhead stack to E; advanced chimney-breast; clay cans.

INTERIOR: 20th century interior.

GARDEN WALL

Low rubble wall extends southwards from E gable; central opening to S; 1 square-plan rubble gatepier remains. Taller wall extends southwards from W gable; gateway to N.

OUTBUILDING

S ELEVATION: blocked central door; 3 regularly place windows to right; 4 windows to left. Raggles of former lean-to structure remain to far left.

W ELEVATION: plain gable.

N ELEVATION: partially seen; window to far right; lean-to shed to left; modern lean-to shed to centre.

E ELEVATION: door; 2 boarded sliding doors.

Predominantly 3-pane timber windows. Gable end stack to W. Pitched roof; corrugated asbestos cladding.

INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.
