Description
The Cottage and Mr Poole is a late 18th century, two-storey, five-bay terraced pair of cottages located on a corner site. The exterior is harled with a battered base course, although many openings have been altered over time.
On the southeast entrance elevation, there is a doorway in the second bay featuring a panelled door, with a single window above it on the first floor. In the third bay, there is another doorway with a boarded door. The first bay has a large bipartite window on the ground floor and a smaller bipartite window on the first floor. The fourth bay contains a single window on the ground floor and a bipartite window on the first floor, while the outer right bay has single windows.
The Cottage features small pane timber windows, while the other cottage has four-pane sash and case windows. The roof is made of grey slate, with a swept eaves design, and harled gablehead stacks, with brick stacks on the northeast side, along with thackstanes.
Inside Mr Poole, there are moulded pilasters that form the remains of a box bed in the upper floor bedroom, although the bed itself has been removed.
