Kerrylamont Cottage, Mount Stuart, Bute

Kerrylamont Cottage is a pair of near-symmetrical, single-storey cottages built in the late 19th century, designed in a half-timbered Old English style. The cottages form a 6-bay block, with the left cottage having 4 bays and the right cottage having 2 bays. Slightly advanced gabled bays flank the center of the structure. The ground level features red brick, while polished sandstone mullions and red brick voussoir detailing are present above the openings, along with projecting cills. The attic showcases half-timbering.

On the entrance elevation, there are timber panelled doors at ground level in the outer left and right bays. Quadripartite windows are located in the slightly advanced penultimate bays to the outer left and right, with tripartite windows centered in the apex above. There is a bipartite window at ground level off-set to the left of center and a quadripartite window off-set to the right. A pitched, tripartite dormer is centered above. The glazing is predominantly leaded casement. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and features corniced whitewashed harl ridge stacks flanking the center, along with various terracotta cans.

The interior was not seen in 1996. The property is enclosed by simple wrought-iron railings, with ball-finialed piers flanking the pedestrian entrances and wrought-iron gates.
