Bruachag Lodge, Mount Stuart House

Bruachag Lodge is a late 19th-century, asymmetrical single-storey cottage designed in the Old English style. It features three bays and is constructed from red brick, with timber corbels supporting half-timbered gables. The window surrounds are made of lightly droved red sandstone ashlar, with chamfered reveals, chamfered cills, and sandstone mullions.

On the west elevation, the entrance porch is centrally located and has a two-leaf boarded timber door that is offset to the left of center, with a single window to the right. There is a slightly projecting tripartite window in the gabled bay on the outer left and another slightly projecting tripartite window beneath a smaller gable on the outer right.

The cottage has leaded casement glazing throughout and a red clay tile roof with terracotta ridge detailing. There are corniced red sandstone apex stacks to the north and south, topped with circular terracotta cans. The interior was not seen in 1996.
