Description
Hawthorn Cottage is a late 19th-century house designed in the English cottage style. It is a single-storey building with a basement and features three bays. The cottage has a gambrel roof covered with rosemary tiles and is harled with cream sandstone dressings. All openings at the front are basket-arched. The doorway is accompanied by linked six-pane windows and is topped by a projecting pedimented gablet. The outer windows open by hoppers, with a two-pane lower section and a four-pane opening section. There are two prominent chimney stacks located towards the center of the house.
