Ballacraine, Stichill

Laurel Bank in Stichill is a row of four single-storey cottages built in 1894, designed in the English Cottage style. The cottages feature a deliberately irregular layout and are finished with harled exteriors, complemented by cream sandstone dressings. They have rosemary tiled roofs with prominent eaves and gablets that include moulded bargeboards. Each cottage has prominent sandstone chimney stacks topped with moulded copes. The original glazing was multi-pane, although some have been replaced with modern plate glass that is not in keeping with the original character. The westmost cottage was originally built as a post office.

In front of the cottages, there is a low random rubble boundary wall that encloses shared land.
