Description

The Rockery is a later 19th century cottage located on Back Street in Cawdor. It is a single storey building with an attic and features a symmetrical design. The cottage has three bays, with a lower single storey, two-bay wing at the west gable. The structure is built of rubble with tooled dressings. The central door is concealed by a shallow porch that has a pediment. The ground floor windows have 12-pane glazing, while the outer bays feature two gabled dormers with 4-pane glazing. The entrance to the wing creates a break in the wallhead, forming a gablet. The building has end stacks and is topped with slate roofs.
