Description
The Church Hall on Back Street in Cawdor Village is an early to mid-19th century building that was originally a pair of dwellings. It features a single-storey, three-bay cottage alongside an irregular four-bay cottage with a slightly lower roofline at the east gable, which has been converted into the Church Hall. The structure is built of rubble with tooled rubble dressings, modern re-pointing, and a harled rear. The smaller cottage has a central door and small windows with varied glazing at both the front and rear, along with end stacks and a corrugated iron roof. There is also a later 19th-century rubble extension at the west gable, which includes a lean-to and a gable end entrance, topped with a slate roof.
