Description

The building is a mid-19th century structure consisting of two parts: a pair of single-storey and attic cottages and a two-bay Post Office. The cottages feature a three-bay dwelling connected to the Post Office. The exterior is made of rubble with tooled rubble dressings, and the gable is harled with painted margins. The entrance to the three-bay house is centrally located, while the Post Office has its entrance on the east gable, accompanied by a flanking window. There are four gabled dormers that break the wallhead, with 12-pane glazing on the ground floor, plate glass in the Post Office, and 4-pane glazing in the dormers. The building has an end and ridge stack, and a decorative cast-iron finial is positioned at the apex of the east gable of the Post Office. The roofs are covered with slate and feature pottery ridge tiles.
