Description

19th century, recently rebuilt (1992). Pair of 2-storey 3-bay rubble cottages with irregularly disposed openings adjoining single storey link to 5 Market Place. Ashlar margins and cills.

S ELEVATION: 7-bay; centre bay with door at ground, blank above. 3 bays to right; left bay with picture window at ground, door at centre, windows to right and to 1st floor; pebbledashed. 3 irregular bays to left with door to right and centre bay blank at ground; windows to 1st floor. N ELEVATION: 6 irregular bays; inner left bay blank at 1st floor; inner right bay with door at ground (to Canongate Gallery), pair of windows above, and piend-roofed dormer breaking eaves. Windows to both floor of other bays.

Harled gable ends.

12-pane sash and case timber windows. Flat skews; grey slates.
