1 Under Nag's Head Close, Jedburgh

2 Under Nag's Head Close in Jedburgh is a building from the earlier to mid 19th century that has recently undergone extensive restoration. It consists of a continuous range of three two-storey, three-bay blocks, which are connected to a rear wing of 7-11 Castlegate, known as Prince Charlie's House.

The elevation facing Blackhills Close features a regular design made of cream snecked and stuged sandstone, accented with ashlar margins and cills. Each of the three apparent houses has modern board doors with small-pane fanlights at the center. The second and third houses from the right include single gabled dormers.

The elevation on Under Nag's Head Close is irregular, constructed from rubble with cement margins and cills. It has a pair of concrete forestairs and four glazed doors at ground level. Velux skylights are present on the second and third houses. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, with 12-pane casements in the dormers. The roof is covered with grey slates.
