The building is single storey on the south side and two storeys on the north side, reflecting the sloping ground. Each flat has its own entrance directly from both elevations. The cottages feature cement margins and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and there are rendered chimney stacks.
