Description

1 Veitch's Close in Jedburgh is a pair of 19th-century cottages that have recently undergone significant renovations. The cottages are constructed from irregular rubble and consist of three bays, with their rear side adjoining the Forester's Arms. The building is single storey on the south side and two storeys on the north side, reflecting the sloping ground. Each flat has its own entrance directly from both elevations. The cottages feature cement margins and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and there are rendered chimney stacks.
