Description

Hill View is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house located at the end of a terrace on High Street in Kirk Yetholm. The exterior features cream harling with painted surrounds around the openings, a base course, and raised window surrounds and cills.

On the northeast (entrance) elevation, there is a raised surround to the central doorway, which has a panelled door and a three-pane fanlight above it. Decorative dies flank the doorway, and there is a single window on the first floor above, as well as in the flanking bays.

The house has eight-pane glazing in sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a brick gablehead stack on the northwest side, a brick mutual stack on the southeast side, and coped gables.
