Description
Rowantree Cottage is a late 18th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan and a steeply pitched thatched roof. The exterior is harled with raised painted margins, featuring a battered base course and splayed angles.
On the northwest elevation, the entrance is centrally located and has a deep-set boarded door with a diamond-pane panel. There are single windows on either side of the entrance, which are 12-pane sash and case windows. The roof is reed-thatched with scalloped ridging, and there are brick chimneystacks on each gablehead with moulded cans.
The property is bordered by a harled rubble boundary wall to the southwest, and there is an Edward VII postbox set into a whinstone rubble wall to the northeast.
