Description
23 Easdale Island is an earlier 19th-century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan. It features harled whinstone and slate rubble construction, with regular window arrangements. The roof is covered with grey slates and has lead flashing.
On the southeast (principal) elevation, the cottage has an asymmetrical three-bay design with a door located to the centre left. The northwest (rear) elevation is harled, while the northeast (side) elevation showcases a harled gable end. The southwest (side) elevation is obscured by an adjoining cottage.
The windows are timber framed with plate glass upper casement windows, and there are two small roof lights at the front. The cottage has large stone skews and chimney stacks on both gables. The interior was not seen in 2001.
