Description
9, Easdale Island is an earlier 19th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan, made up of two improved cottages, each with three bays. The exterior is constructed from harled whinstone and slate rubble, featuring regular window arrangements.
The southwest elevation, which is the principal front, has six bays with regular fenestration and modern timber doors. The northeast elevation at the rear has a mix of small and large windows arranged irregularly. The northwest side features a harled gable end, while the southeast side is adjacent to a newly built cottage, 9a.
The cottage has modern four-pane timber sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates, lead flashing, and coped stacks with clay cans. Inside, the cottage has been completely modern refitted.
