Description
11A Easdale Island is a group of three improved cottages, originally four, built in the earlier 19th century. The cottages are single storey with a rectangular plan and are constructed from harled whinstone and slate rubble. They feature generally regular window arrangements, grey slate roofs with lead flashing, and regular coped stacks topped with clay cans.
Cottage No. 11 has a southwest (principal) elevation with four bays, a door located in the center, and another door in the far-right bay. The northeast (rear) elevation also displays regular fenestration. The northwest (side) elevation is obscured by an adjoining wooden lean-to passageway roof and door, and it has metal-framed, plate glass windows along with felt roofing and rooflights. The interior was not seen in 2001.
Cottage No. 11A has a southwest (principal) elevation with four bays and a modern timber and glazed door in the second bay. Its northeast (rear) elevation features regular fenestration and metal-framed, plate glass windows, along with felt roofing and rooflights. The interior was not seen in 2001.
Cottage No. 11B has a southwest (principal) elevation with four bays, a modern timber and glazed door in the third bay to the right of center, and a narrower window in the outer fourth bay. The northeast (rear) elevation also has regular fenestration. The southwest (side) elevation was not seen in 2001, but it features metal-framed, plate glass windows, felt roofing, and rooflights. The interior was not seen in 2001.
