Description
24 Easdale Island is an earlier 19th-century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan and five bays, three of which have been extended to four, with a lower fifth bay. The exterior is finished in harled whinstone and slate rubble, featuring regular fenestration.
On the northeast (principal) elevation, there is a boarded timber door at the center, flanked by a three-bay cottage with an addition to the left and a slightly lower addition set back to the right. The southwest (rear) elevation has three small windows. The northwest (side) elevation includes an advanced gabled addition with a large window on the left return. The southeast (side) elevation features a harled gable end with timber fixed pane and top hopper plate glass windows. The roof is made of corrugated iron, and there are stacks at the gables of the original cottage.
The interior was not seen in 2001.
