Description
44 Easdale Island is a mid 19th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan, featuring three bays. The exterior is constructed from harled whinstone and slate rubble.
On the northeast (principal) elevation, there is a regular arrangement of windows and a framed-and-lined timber door located in the center. The southwest (rear) elevation is obscured due to a terrace that has been cut into the earth bank. The southeast (side) elevation has a harled gable end and a ruinous cottage wall that abuts the outer right side. The northwest (side) elevation also features a harled gable end.
The cottage has small, four-pane timber sash and case windows, with coped gable stacks, grey slates, and lead flashing. The interior was not seen in 2001.
