Description
Mid 19th century. Terrace of 3 single storey, 3-bay, improved cottages, rectangular-plan. Harled whinstone and slate rubble. Coped gable stacks, grey slates, lead flashing. Rear elevations obscured by terrace cut into earth bank.
NO 41: NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: out of character stone build lean-to extension spanning elevation; large modern. SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: window to left, gabled addition to centre and right, window to left return. Plate glass windows, except large double-glazed windows to lean-to. Skew to SE gable, replacement slates to SE addition. INTERIOR: not seen 2001.
NO 42: NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: slightly recessed. Boarded timber door to centre, relatively large 12-pane window to left, small 4-pane window to right. Timber sash and case windows. Replacement slates, small rooflight to front. INTERIOR: not seen 2001.
NO 43: NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regular fenestration, boarded timber door to centre. NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: harled gable end, ruinous cottage wall adjoining to outer left. Small 4-pane, timber, sash and case windows. INTERIOR: not seen 2001.
