Description
41 Glynne Way consists of a pair of 18th century, two-storey cottages with a continuous medium-pitched roof covered in graded slates. The cottages are built of sandstone, with No. 43 featuring coursed stonework and being constructed after No. 41. A vertical join is visible between the two units.
No. 41 has a two-window facade with a central entrance, which includes a plain doorcase and a 20th-century door. The windows have been altered, and the current casement windows are modern replacements.
No. 43 has a one-window facade with contemporary flush two-light casements, featuring 16 panes on the ground floor and 12 panes on the first floor. There is a plain entrance to the left with a simple stone canopy and a recessed, vertically-planked door. The rear of No. 43 has later brick extensions.
Both cottages are accessed by a shared flight of stone steps to the west and are situated on a raised stone terrace, which is bordered by a low retaining wall.
