Description
62 Glynne Way is a pair of early 19th century brick cottages that have been combined into a single house. They are flush with and next to a pair of early 20th century cottages to the east. The building features a continuous shallow-pitched roof with dentilated eaves and simple end stacks. It is two stories high with one-window reflected units, although the western unit has had its door bricked up. The ground floor has tripartite windows that are almost flush, part-leaded, and include a central sliding sash, with the left window having six panes. Both the ground floor and entrance have cambered heads, and there is a contemporary panelled door. The smaller upper windows are also tripartite and similar to those below, with replaced steps leading up to the doorway.
To the west, there is a rubble outshut with a slate roof and exposed rafter ends, along with a modern wooden garage door. At the rear, there is a contemporary brick extension from the 19th century featuring a cambered-headed entrance, with later doors and windows.
Adjacent to this building and partly attached to the south is a contemporary two-story stone stable block. It is constructed of uncoursed sandstone with plain eaves and has two entrances, the right one featuring a stable door. To the left, there is a two-light window, and to the right, a shuttered window on the first floor, all with brick cambered heads.
The uncoursed stone retaining wall along the street, which runs south, is included up to the point where it returns.
