Description

35 Glynne Way is a mid-19th century, two-storey brick terrace. It represents a complete domestic remodelling of a range from John Rigby's iron foundry, which was established in the 1770s and closed in 1854. There is evidence of early 19th century work visible at the rear of the building.

The terrace features a continuous, gently-pitched slate roof supported by three simply-moulded brick stacks and has dentilated eaves. The front is asymmetrical, with windows and doors on the ground floor arranged in the pattern W DD W WD W. The entrances are recessed and have cambered heads. The doors are plain with vertical panels and include a tripartite fan-light above. The ground floor has 12-pane recessed sash windows, also with cambered heads, while the first floor has five randomly-placed windows, all with painted, projecting cills.

At the rear, there are large one and a half-storey arches that have been blocked, with domestic windows inserted. The rear extensions for Nos 33 and 35 are modern.
