Description

Penrhos is an early to mid-19th century terrace, with a later extension to the right. The building is constructed of grey headers with red brick dressings and has cement bands over the ground and first floors. It has a flat wooden eaves soffit to a slate hipped roof, punctuated by ten brick stacks evenly spaced along the ridge. The terrace is three storeys high and features an eleven-window front, with a door to the left of each ground floor window, except for the extreme right-hand building, which is of two bays. The windows are a mixture of sash and glazing bar sash windows, set within brick dressed surrounds, which are shallower on the second floor. There are eleven round-headed doors, mainly panelled or half-glazed. Waterloo Place was formerly closed by a westerly range, demolished in 1975.
