Description

This is a house built in the early 19th century and significantly altered in the mid-to-late 19th century. The front facade features mathematically-tiled brickwork with black decorative diaper patterns around the first and second-floor windows. The roof is slate, with sprocketed eaves and an end stack on the left side. The house is three stories high. A 20th-century casement window is present on the second floor. A neo-Gothic style canted bay window projects from the first floor, featuring round-arched windows, sunk decoration above, a cast-iron railed balcony, and a two-light, shouldered-arched window on the ground floor to the left. A panelled front door with a transom light is located to the right, set within a shouldered-arched surround. A flat hood, matching the balcony's design, extends over the ground-floor window to the left, supported by carved brackets.
