Description

Nos 7 and 8 on East Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed with red mathematical tiles and feature a modillioned cornice beneath a slate roof, which has end stacks. The buildings rise three storeys and present a two-window front, forming a handed pair. The second and ground floors have tripartite sashes, with the sashes on the second floor being slightly shallower than those below. The first floor features canted oriel bays topped with moulded cornices. Central entrances are framed by pilasters, with a central pilaster and a flat entablature hood above. The left entrance has a half-glazed door, while the right has a panelled door with an upper pair of glazed panels.
