Description
No. 2 East Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and features boxed eaves above a plain tiled roof, which includes a segment-headed dormer and a stack on the right side. The building stands three storeys tall, with an attic and a basement. The front has a single window that is shifted to the left, showcasing a 4-light casement window on the second floor. On the first floor, there is a canted oriel bay with a moulded cornice, and on the ground floor, a tripartite sash window. To the left of centre, there is a half-glazed door with a narrow transom-light above it, framed by a pilastered surround topped with a triangular pediment. There is also a recessed entrance at the extreme left, which has a half-glazed door behind it.
