Description
No. 3 East Street is a house in a row, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and a slate double mansard roof. The building stands three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and features one window. Above a full-height 8:12:8-pane sash bow, there is a 20th-century three-light flat-roofed dormer. The basement is set back with a flat front, supported by iron brackets beneath the oriel window. To the right, there is an arched doorway with a plain fanlight and a 20th-century door, accessed by five steps with nosings. A small modillion cornice runs across the full width of the building, including the top of the oriel, just below a blocking course and coped parapet. On the left side, there is a very deep brick stack topped with ten clay pots. The interior has not been inspected.
