Description
No. 5 Belle Vue is a house in a row, built in the early to mid 19th century. It features a rendered exterior and an asbestos-cement slate roof. The building has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with one window that is a plain sash. Above, there is a paired sash dormer set in a mansard roof, and below, a three-storey canted oriel window with moulded cornices, supported by two slender iron legs and protected by a rail. The oriel window has a paired sash with a wide mullion that aligns with the wall. To the right, there is a 19th-century four-panel door with a transom light, set on four stone steps with nosings. This door is framed by a moulded architrave and topped with a moulded hood on consoles. The house has a small plinth, bands at each floor, a moulded cornice that runs continuously through the top of the bay, a blocking course, and a parapet. A brick stack is located to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
